YMC 2015 - communication to the Mountain Biking Group: Important Update!

Hello Young Mountain Bike Movers!

Greetings from the team of Adventura.

I would like to give you a brief info update on the trail that you will be riding at. Due to the unforeseen weather conditions in Bulgaria, the initial track, on which we have intended to ride is covered in snow. Vitosha mountain is great for skiing right now, yes, even in April, but unfortunately is no good for mountain biking.

That’s why we have changed the mountain and the trail – we will be riding on the south slopes of the Stara Planina (or Balkan Mountain). We will start from the village of Lokorsko.

The track length is about 12.6km, the elevation gain is 460m. The track difficulty is intermediate, with one difficult section. In general is ridable for any person with previous biking (not limited to mountain biking) experience. The track can be downloaded in GPX format (you can open it in Google Earth) here.

Here is a short video clip for today as we rode the trail to make sure it is totally ridable and fun.

Thanks for your attention and we are looking forward to seeing you in Sofia and on the trail on Saturday!

YMC 2015 - Communication from Team Leader Lake Fishing - Mr. Sabin Georgiev

Dear friends – fishermen,

My name is Sabin Georgiev and I will be your fisherman guide at Pancharevo Lake on 18th of April.

Next to Sofia there are many wonderful places to fish, but Pancharevo Lake is one of the famous and beloved by us. Lake is divided on two parts and you can catch, depending which part you choose, different kind of fish. Some of it can be trophy specimens – like a 20 kg carp!

We have reserved for you enough equipment and bite, but you can also bring your own fishing equipment.

Lake is daily stocked with hungry trout, catfish, carp, pipefish, zander, bighead fish in order everybody to make their catch of the Year, not only for the Young Movers Conference.

So far we expect very nice, sunny weather with temperatures around 18’-22’C. We will provide also refreshing drinks and nice coffee.

Be prepared to see many people at the Lake area, because when the weather is fine everyone loves walking around.

Good luck, I’m looking forward to see you next week in Sofia.

Sincerely Yours,

Sabin Georgiev

YMC 2015 - Communication Team Leader Paintball Tournament, Mr. George Zlatarev

Dear friends,

Most of you probably already know my name, but for the rest I am George Zlatarev and I will be your lead for the war games during the entertainment part at the Young Movers Conference 2015.

We are going to be picked up from our hotels with a bus and transferred to a playground called “Paintball Arena” specially designed field for war games.

In the first part of the game group of five members of terrorist organization attacked and captured secret base of the military forces near the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia.  The core network servers in the building are with strategic meaning for the functionality of the forces communications system. The data cannot be read but destroying the servers will lead to chaos and disintegration of the forces.

The counterintelligence succeeds to capture the main bomb. Unfortunately the enemy has backup – another bomb from old generation with clock mechanism. They cannot activate it remotely. This is why terrorists are there in the building, guarding it.

Our mission is to find the bomb, deactivate it and kill the terrorists. Instructions for deactivation will be attached to the bomb. Terror team are only five but they are extremely dangerous and heavy armed. We should not underestimate them.

During the second part of the games we will be divided into three groups and our mission will be to capture the flag of the opposite team. The group who survive longest and have less casualties will win the final and the reward for best team.

We believe that being on a good terms with the team in yeah organization or structure is the most important matter of success. That is why we want you to think, act and play as a team and let’s see who the best one is.

Upon the arrival of the bus at the field each player will be supplied with camouflage costume, body protectors, armored googles, face mask and plenty of provisions to shoot. We have five professional English speaking instructors to keep us save and in good condition during the game.

Please bring with you casual clothing in which you will feel comfortable to run and hide. We recommend you to wear sport shoes.  During the games hot tea, beverages and snacks will be provided to the audience.

Once we finish playing and having fun at the field the best team will win a cup and players will receive a special medal of honor. Then we will be headed to a restaurant and celebrate.

Looking forward to see you soon in Sofia.

Kind regards,

George Zlatarev

YMC 2015 - communication to the Mountain Biking Group

“Dear Young Movers,

We are ADVENTURA – a team of experienced mountain bikers that will take you on adventure in Vitosha Mountain Nature Park. We are glad that you have chosen to come riding with us and we promise it will be a great day!

The trail:

We will ride at the foothills of the mountain on a wide soft earth trail with moderate levels of ascent and descent. The total distance is 21 kilometers (13 miles) with less than 600 meters accumulated ascent and nearly 900 meters accumulated descent. This all means that it will be a generally mild route that will take you up and down on a fun ride. We will expect the trail to be muddy so be prepared for this and some serious fun!

Equipment:

You will be provided with a mountain bike in perfect working order, suitable for the trail. The size of the bicycle will be according to your own height. You will be also provided with safety helmet that you need to wear at all times while on the bike. You can bring any additional equipment/safety gear if you wish.

NB – We recommend that you dress accordingly in sports clothes, ideally something light and breathable with waterproof overalls in case it rains. Sports shoes are also important and ideally you should wear riding / hiking shoes with good grip and ankle support. Riding gloves are also a good idea to protect your hands. Please bring additional set of clothes you can change into after the ride as you will be muddy for sure. Bring your own backpack to carry personal items. Your extra set of clothes will be transported to the finish by our bus.

Guides:

A team of guides will be responsible for your safety so please listen carefully to instructions and directions at all times. They are experienced mountain bikers and MIAS (Mountain-Bike Instructor, Award Scheme) certified. Furthermore the team are fluent in English and will answer any questions you may have. One of us will take pictures for you having fun.

Weather:

The weather in April can vary from a sunny day with temperatures in the early 20C to a grim rainy day with temperatures not exceeding 5C. It can also be both. You should generally expect a spring day in the mountains with highly changeable weather. We will provide you with a detailed forecast nearer to the time.

Looking forward to riding with you,

The ADVENTURA team”

From Team Leaders Go Kart, Mr. Kamen Alipiev & DJ Rady

Dear Young Movers,

This is Kamen Alipiev & DJ Rady, your Team Leaders GoKart. Skip the formalities, call us Cedar & Rady from now on, put on your helmets and fasten your seat-belts.

It is a great pleasure for us to be your hosts at the GoKart competition at the Sofia Karting Ring on April 18. Like every other group we will have a special mission, but anyway ours will be the hardest one, because we must stay sober until the end of the competition 😉 Not only because we must see who will be the fastest on track, but also for safety reasons.

Our plan is to take you with a bus from your hotels and bring you to Sofia Ring Mall where the Sofia Karting Ring is located. Your bus will leave sharp 9.30 local time from the Sheraton, pass by the Radisson at 09:36 to take the rest and we will start the competition around 10:10.

Sofia Karting Ring is probably the best GoKart facility in the country. The length of the track is 600 meters, width – 7.60 meters and it`s equipped with AMB timing system.

The competitors will be divided in groups and will receive instructions from the Marshals on track before the start.

Like every competition in the world, you will have the same target – to be as fast as you can and to win the first place at the final! The competition scheme is set by Mr. Yordan Vurbitzaliev – President of Bulgarian GoKart Federation, but anyway I know that it will be a piece of cake for you. The fastest racers will qualify for the next round and the number of the heats and rounds will depend on quantity of racers.

Of course we will have a professional motorsport photographer on the track and everyone will have their precious moments of Glory 😉 . DJ Rady will throw a huge party before, during and after the competition. It will take around three hours to complete and we hope that you`ll enjoy it.

Young Movers, actually Kamen is basketball commentator and don`t even have a driving license, so please don`t kill him if he makes some mistakes!

When the time comes you will receive a detailed information for your registration and starting order, so,

Ladies and Gentlemen – be ready to start your Engines!

We’re looking forward to see you soon in Sofia.

Best Regards,

Kamen “Cedar” Alipiev & DJ Rady

From Team Leader Hiking, Mr. Koko Stoynov

Dear Young Movers,
 Screen Shot 2015-04-06 at 12.03.30
My name is Nikola Stoynov, but my friends call me Koko, so you’ll have to call me Koko too:) It is my pleasure that I will be your guide to climb the Vitosha Mountain on April 18.

Our group has a special mission: climb the highest peak – Cherni Vrah (The Black Peak), at 2290 meters above the sea level and put there the YMC Flag.

The plan is to get by bus from your hotels to about 1800 meters altitude, then to continue on foot. The route is not heavy and at a moderate pace in both directions, usually takes about 4 hours, including a stay about 20 minutes at the top. There is a small hut with a tearoom. In good weather, there is a magnificent view of the highest Bulgarian mountains – Rila and the Balkan Mountains, which cross over whole Bulgaria.

To have maximum comfort in the mountains, to experience the pleasure of our trip and to avoid unnecessary risks, it will be very important to be properly equipped. In spring Vitosha is still snowy and wet, so even though we will go on well-trodden paths, in first place I recommend high waterproof hiking boots. It is also important for everyone to have a proper jacket, hat, sunglasses and to put in the backpack at least one T-shirt, sunscreen and vaseline lip.

We expect most of the terrain to be snow, with temperatures around 0’-4’C. Winds could be between mild and strong.

Once we install the flag at the peak, we will celebrate it, make pictures and head back.

Dear Young Movers, I’ve been dozens of times at the Black Peak in all seasons and after our upcoming adventure I expect that you will save the best memories of Bulgarian nature and you will want to visit other beautiful mountains of Bulgaria as well.

When the time comes I will send you a detailed weather forecast for Vitosha for 18 April.

I’m looking forward to see you soon in Sofia.

Regards,

Nikola “Koko” Stoynov
